Teaching Team Lesson Plan Functionality

Learn about how to save teacher time by enabling the Teaching Team feature on Lesson Plans.

Teaching Team Overview

The Teaching Team Lesson Plan Submission feature allows teachers to submit lesson plans together, allowing teachers to designate peers who are teaching the same lesson and cut down on extra work for both lesson plan submitters and reviewers. Co-Teacher or Peer Group Lesson Plan submission can be turned on via System Settings and only applies to Lesson Plans and not other document types.

How to Configure

1. Turn this System Setting ON (it is OFF by default) by navigating to Config > System Settings > Lesson Plans

2. Once this is on, anyone in your district who is allowed to submit Lesson Plans can also add co-teachers to those Lesson Plans

How to Use

1. Users who can submit LPs will see a Teaching Team section in their LP Submission form. This will include everyone who is a fellow teacher at their school(s).

2. Reviewers will see the names of any additional selected teachers when beginning their review under Teaching Team (the top of the document will say the same).

3. When Approving or Requesting Resubmission, Reviewers will see the names of all other teachers who will be receiving the feedback and/or getting their LPs approved. If Resubmission is required, the original submitter will be responsible for that.

4. Users added to the Teaching Team will see the approved and submitted LPs on their own profiles and can submit them for any scheduled requirements as needed.

Teachers can also share their lesson plans via My Files even if your organization does not enable Teaching Team Lesson Plan Submission.

Experience for End-Users

Linked co-teachers can view, comment, and make minor changes to the submitted Lesson Plan. Co-teachers can find submitted Lesson Plans via Start > Find Lesson Plans. Co-teachers can edit the date of the submitted plan by clicking the 3 vertical dots to the right of the green View Lesson Plan button.
