Learn how to navigate the Resource Library and add resources that can be shared across your school or network!
Please note: This article is intended for all users at schools that utilize the Resource Library. If you don't have this feature and would like to enable it, reach out to your school leaders or Customer Success Manager!
About the Resource Library
You can get there by clicking on Learn and then Resource Library.
You can search through files by using the Filters & Options menu on the left. Each file will have a name, description (optional), and file type. The blue window button will open the file in a new tab. The orange edit button will allow you to edit files (if you have uploaded it yourself or have permission). The red trash can button will delete the file (if you have this permission).
Adding Resources
If you have the permissions, you can also upload files to the Resource Library! You can do this by clicking the green Add Resource button.
In the pop-up, add a name and select your file from a link, from your computer, or from your Grow account. If you'd like, you can also add a description and change which schools and/or roles can access this resource.
Next, you can update the metadata associated with your resource, such as categories, grades, courses, and tags. This does not affect who can see the resource in the library. The metadata section impacts how users can search for resources using the Filters & Options we mentioned earlier. You do not need to add any metadata. Once you've set up your resource, press Create.
Your resource will now be visible to users at your school or network!
Adding a Resource Library File to an Observation
You can easily add a file from the Resource Library to any observation, meeting, or comment. For an observation, when you are working on a draft just find the Files widget at the bottom of the form. Select Add File from Resource Library.
Pick your file from the list. To open it in a new window, use the light blue window button. To add it to your observation, use the green plus sign button.
