Learn the best ways to utilize the Resource Library and add resources that can be shared across your school or network!
Please note: This article is intended for users who have access to manage resources and at schools that utilize the Resource Library. If you don't have this feature and would like to enable it, reach out to your school leaders or Customer Experience Manager!
Linking and Tagging
If your tags don’t already have URL's associated with them, you can link them to resources in the Resource Library instead! To do this, first enable the Link tag hierarchy to library items setting in the Resource Settings > Enable Resources section of System Settings.
Then, make sure the resources in your resource library are tagged appropriately.
Any tag that has resources associated with it will then show a book icon next to it (i.e. on an action item), which will pull up associated resources
Other Best Practices
- Assign one staff member to manage resources and control visibility
- Make sure resources are tagged appropriately and organized logically so that users can find resources easily
- Do an audit of resources each summer (or more often!)
- Consider what format will make the most sense for your users
- Sometimes a live document makes more sense than a pdf
- You might use an external link to a website or video instead of an internal resource
- Select resources that will help facilitate coaching conversations.
- The best resources help your teachers as they work on a particular action item.
