Sprint 136 - 7/19/23

Features & Updates

Grow URL Updates
- Whetstone has officially been retired. As sad as we are to see it go - we are very excited to officially be SchoolMint Grow for real!
Cycles Setup Page
- Users will now see cycle date ranges without having to click into the cycle. They will also have the ability to archive (delete) a cycle to remove it from the list. The archived cycles are still available to review and restore should they be needed.
Frequency Dash: Total Touchpoints Column
- Added a “Total Touchpoints” column to the Frequency Dashboard mimicking the Network Frequency Dashboard - to be able to see touchpoints aggregated per user.
Include Archived Users: Observation Data Report, Meetings Report, Form Norming Report
- You can now toggle to include all archived users in the reports above. This will include all archive users from all time.
Teacher Profile: allow language change to "observe"
- You can now update the language in the dropdown menu located on the teacher profile to the language used by the school for self reflections.
Lesson Plan Feedback
- Update text from "Disable Using on New Reviews" to "Hide on Menus"
Running Record Drag & Drop
- Users can now drag a row from the Running Record into any text box in an observation.
Double Running Record Updates
- Users can now toggle between text boxes in the double running record using the left and right arrow keys.

Bug Fixes

Multiple Performance Dash: User type selector errors
- If no user types have been selected, the filter says “All User Types”; If 1 user type has been selected, the filter says the name of the selected type; If multiple types have been selected, the filter now says “# Selected”.
Weekly Data Meeting Report: Filter table by Standard Column
- Typing a standard into the filter bar will now filter for standards that are present on the report.
Tag Hierarchy: HTML visible on action steps
- HTML is now interpreted correctly in the text box when there are tags present on an action step.

Sprint 135 - 6/8/23

Updates Include:
- User Uploads:
  - We have added more validations to the upload process to help school users find potential issues with their files.
Bug Fixes Include:
- Hidden Forms on the Cycle’s Dashboard
  - The bug that allows users to see and start observations on the Cycles Dashboard from forms that are hidden from their roles everywhere else, now no longer allows them to click and tells them on hover “You don’t have permission to create this event”.

Sprint 133 - 5/10/23

Updates Include:
- Performance Dash: improved popups for “Weighted Averages” that include:
  - A popup with the staff member’s name & the weighted average score
  - A table that is broken out by observation type who have a weight > 0, the weight assigned to that observation type, and the average for the rows in that observation.
  - The ability to click into each observation type that expands to display all the scores that have contributed to that type’s score.
Bug Fixes Include:
- Placement Recommendation:
  - When in an EOY process, a staff member won’t see their placement recommendations on either the score table or on the larger “Placement” block until those have been released to the staff member by an administrator.
  - As a district user, when navigating to an individual staff member’s dash (while in active EOY), I can give a placement recommendation. Once that has been given, a button that says “Release Final Placement to Teacher” will appear. Until that button is pressed, the staff member will not see any placement info when accessing their own performance dashboard.
- SFTP Password:
  - User’s are now able to generate SFTP passwords within the platform as expecte

Sprint 132 - 4/26/23

Updates Include:
- None in this release.
Bug Fixes Include:
- The 'Average' column on the Performance Dashboard has been fixed to display only scores from the row groups selected for each Performance Dashboard configuration.
- When a user schedules a meeting or observation, the event on their external (Google/Outlook) calendar will now link to the Calendar page, so that the event can either be created (the Grow observation) or clicked into (The Grow Meeting).

Sprint 130 - 3/29/23

Updates Include:
- None in this release.
Bug Fixes Include:
- Issue where a form was being selected by default on the Start Observation popup is resolved. No form will be selected by default unless a user only has access to one form on that menu.
- Issue where schools with a large amount of Observation Groups threw an error when attempting to deselect groups on the Observation Data Report is resolved.
- Various fixes and improvements to the Data Dashboard and the Pacing Dashboard.

Sprint 129 - 3/15/23

Updates Include:
- All of our Emails have been updated to be a little more consistent in style. The outdated “Whetstone” language has been removed from all of them and replaced with references to Grow.
- We have also audited and updated the majority of the site to remove references to “Whetstone”. There are still a few places you may see that language (largely related to Whetstone IDs and the Whetstone role) but these will be updated in an upcoming release.
Bug Fixes Include:
- A variety of issues related to the Data Dash have been resolved:
  - Saved Reports from the dash now accurately load selected school filters.
  - All columns across different tabs on the dash now sort.
  - Rich text formatting now appears correctly in the Latest Action Items column.

Sprint 128 - 3/1/23

Updates Include:
- Emails sent via Grow now accurately say “SchoolMint Grow” as the sender rather than the outdated “Whetstone Education”.
  - We are continuing to update areas in the platform that say Whetstone Education on a rolling basis.
- You can now PASTE IMAGES most places that you can submit long-format text (text boxes on Observations, Meetings, and Quick Feedback; descriptions; etc)! This includes screenshots and images copied from elsewhere.
  - When pasted, images can be resized on the spot to better fit their contents as needed. They will also display with a scroll bar on smaller screens or in other areas that are not large enough to accommodate them.
  - Certain areas with rich text (such as Action Items) will not allow pasting images due to size and format constraints.
  - Certain reports and other areas where data rolls up may strip images, also due to format constraints. These areas will note that an image exists in the original feedback.
Bug Fixes Include:
- At districts with solely Google SSO as an option, when a user with no account attempted to log in, they would see an unclear API error. This is now resolved and shows a standard error.
- Issue where HTML tags would show in Quick Feedback with rich text on Teaching/Coaching Timelines is resolved.
- Users will no longer need to accept a new fingerprint repeatedly when connecting to the SFTP server. The current fingerprint will remain valid indefinitely.

Sprint 127 - 2/15/23

Updates Include:
- The AUTOMATED SYNC options in the SFTP configuration are now available on Prod.
- Forms that are HIDDEN ON MENUS now have a (Hidden) note anywhere they appear on reports.
- There is now EMOJI SUPPORT in all rich text boxes in Grow! Simply use the emoji icon shortcut or use colons to input emojis:
Bug Fixes Include:
- LOG IN AS is back to expected behavior.
- Issue where the LESSON PLAN REVIEW REPORT did not properly populate data from dropdown rows is resolved.
- Creating events outside the range of a CYCLE is now possible, but with a warning about the date mismatch.
- An issue where new items could not be added to the COACHING RESOURCE BANK is resolved. Additionally, HTML tags now render properly in that bank.
- Issue where creating a Basic Event in the CALENDAR was throwing an error related to attendees is resolved.
- Issue where CHARTS were not displaying properly in places like the Frequency Dash is resolved.
- Issue where using the ASSIGN ACTION WIDGET when Action Items are required in an observation occasionally did not register the Action Item is resolved.

Sprint 126 - 2/1/23

Updates Include:
- All TOAST MESSAGES in Grow have been refactored for an updated look and less obtrusive style. These are the popups containing warnings, errors, and success notifications at the bottom of the screen.
Bug Fixes Include:
- Issue with scrolling on the Network Frequency Dash is resolved.
- Various minor bugs on the Tag Dashboard related to filters, table headers, and pagination have been resolved.
- Issue where HTML tags were visible when linking Goals and Action Steps is resolved.
- Issue where the “Hide On Reports?” toggle on the Schools page was NOT correctly hiding users on reports is resolved.

Sprint 124/125 - 1/18/23

Updates Include:
- ACTION ITEMS can now have rich text formatting anywhere they are found on the site!
- We have a new DOUBLE RUNNING RECORD widget! It will be enabled by default as an option on all forms. You can enable it the same way you would other widgets. Note that this widget can currently only be added to the MAIN PANEL on an observation, not the left.
  - - In the language changes section of System Settings, you can rename the headers that say Student and Teacher in this screenshot.
    - Note that if you’ve erroneously entered a note in the wrong column, hovering over it will display an arrow that will allow it to move to the other column.
    - The widget otherwise behaves just like the regular Running Record, with hashtags, @ symbols, and the ability to make any/all notes shared or private.
Bug Fixes Include:
- Bug where the Assign Action widget allowed creating a blank action step is resolved.
- Bug where users could submit empty timestamped notes in the Video Hub is resolved.
- Issues with the Pacing Dashboard when Action Step and To-Do columns were enabled are resolved.
- Issue where editing a basic event on the Calendar page did not properly display attendee names is resolved.
- Issue where the Resource Library periodically showed two Add Resource buttons in resolved.
