Linking resources to meta-data tags is an easy way to provide teachers with the tools they need to master a particular skill, and to make resource-sharing easy for coaches and leaders.
If your school uses meta-data tags, then you'll see them in various places throughout Grow. Most commonly, you'll see you have the option to select a tag when assigning an action step. Tags are generally created by schools to group action steps into specific areas of focus. See below for an example of these tags (please note that your school may use different tags).
After an action step is assigned, you'll see that the tags are visible on the observee's action step manager.
Zooming in a bit further, we'll see that one of these tags has a link icon. As a school/district, you have the option to add links to any of your Grow tags. These tags can link to materials in your Grow Resource Library or to external URLs.
In this example, if you click on the link icon then you'll be taken to an external website with exemplar videos for the technique identified in the action step. The goal of adding this link is to easily provide teachers with the resources they need to master their action steps.
