Can I link Action Steps to Goals?

Learn how to align Action Steps to Goals by linking them in Grow.

Please note: Many of our partners encourage their leaders to link goals to action steps in order to see the progression of an action step to a larger goal. This feature may not be enabled at your school/district. If you are interested in linking action steps and goals, please reach out to your district leader or your Customer Success Manager!

First, you'll need to locate the observee's action step and goal managers. Two places to do so are on the Touchpoint Dashboard or using the magnifying glass in the top right corner to navigate directly to someone's profile. The observee will also need a goal listed in their goals manager.

Add an action step by clicking the green plus sign on the action step manager. You'll have a space at the bottom to identify if this action step is tied to a goal, and all of the observees goals will show in the dropdown.

Once submitted, you'll be able to see the related goal directly on the action step. And you can easily click the View # Related Action Steps button on the goal to see all the related action steps.
