Learn how to complete the Weekly Data Meeting process at KIPP Texas regions.
Please Note: This article only applies to users within the KIPP Texas region.
The Weekly Data Meeting process on Grow is designed to be closely aligned with the Relay process. Each Weekly Data Meeting consists of three phases: Before, During, and After.
- Before the meeting, the host creates the meeting templates and prepares for the meeting. Then, the host shares the meeting with other participant(s) so that they can also prepare.
- During the meeting, both the host and participant(s) can capture notes as well as see one another's notes. The final reteach plan and reteach date(s) are captured.
- After the reteach, the participant(s) enters post-reteach mastery data. Lastly, leaders can use the Weekly Data Meeting Report to identify overall mastery growth.
Before the Meeting
To begin a new Weekly Data Meeting, click Start > Start Meeting > Start New Meeting. Then, select Weekly Data Meeting from the drop-down.
Once the meeting opens, verify your meeting's details and add your participants. To add a participant simply search for and select their name.
Add notes/prep. First, enter the Primary Focus of this Meeting into the text box. Next, prep likely includes breaking down the standard into a Know/Show chart, identifying the Initial Mastery and gap, and beginning to document possible strategies for a reteach plan. This content is not visible to participants until the meeting is started.
When ready, click Share w/ participants to send participants a blank copy of their prework/reflection template. When it’s time for the actual meeting, click Start Meeting.

During the Meeting
To view a participant’s notes you can:
Click the button next to each participant's name to see their notes. This updates in real-time as the participant types.
Note: Participants can click Host Version to drop down a copy of your notes, which also update in real-time.
Click the dark blue Compare Notes button to see a pop out of all participant responses for that field.
Note: Participants also have the option to click the dark blue Compare Notes button to see a pop out of all participant and host responses for that field.
After the Meeting
Lastly, you can document the reteach plan after collaboration during the meeting, as well as the date of the reteach. The host or participants can return to the meeting after the reteach to document the new mastery percentage.
