Newark Board of Education: How do I complete an Informal Observation?

NBOE: Learn how to complete an Informal Observation in Grow.

Please Note: This article only applies to users on the district Newark Board of Education.

To begin, click Start > Observe.

Search for a user via the text bar, then click their name when it appears below.

Select Informal from the Form Type drop-down menu. Under the Forms menu, click Informal Feedback.

Fill in Glows and Grows using the peach-colored text-boxes. As a reminder, these are shared with the observee.

When you're done making an entry in the Notes Aligned to Relevant Framework text-box, you'll want to tag the relevant framework using the check-boxes below. Click the grey arrows to pop-out specific indicators and competencies within the frameworks.

You can use the Running Record, on the left side of the template, to take time-stamped notes. 

Utilize the Action Items manager, also on the left side, to view/manage Action Steps, Student Growth Objectives, and Professional Growth Goals.
