Learn how to compare scores from various observation types with Grow's Observation Type Report.
Please note: this article is primarily for users with a Coach role and above.
If your district uses Observation Types to organize observations, you can use the Observation Type Report to compare scores. For example, you may want to see how teachers have progressed from their Mid Year to Annual Evaluation, or how their self-reflection compares with their formal observation.
Start by clicking Reports, Score Performance Reports, then Observation Type Report.
Use Filters & Options to select the date range, the form(s) that should be included, and specific schools and/or coaches. Click Update Filters to see results.
Note: When filtering by coach, all staff members will still show in the results table, but only scores recorded by the coach(es) selected will be populated.
The Avg by Observation column shows an average of individual observation scores, weighted equally. The Avg by Observation Type column shows an average of types of observations, weighted equally. The remaining columns show each observation type separately, for easy comparison.
In the example below, the average of all scores that 1st Grade Teacher has received on selected forms was 3.17. The average by observation type (3.5 for their Formals and 3 for their EOY) was 3.25.
Tip: Click any column header to sort in ascending or descending order.
Click any number to see the individual observation scores that are contributing to the average.
