Learn how your teachers can complete peer observations for other teachers in Grow.
Please note: This article is intended for users with coaching permissions and above.
Peer observations/evaluations are a great tool for teachers, allowing them to learn from the strengths and growth areas of others, while also providing valuable insight. Additionally, in an environment where time isn't always plentiful, peer observations are a great way to spread the coaching workload and ensure teachers are getting feedback.
Teachers
Teachers start a peer observation the same way they would start a self-observation. They will select Start > Observe.
After they click this, they will select the name of a teacher in their school and then select a form from the dropdown menu.
This will open up the form, which they can fill out and then finalize!
The Peer Observations feature can also be turned on for coaches and administrators. Users will only be able to peer observe those with the same role and school as them.
Reporting
- Frequency Dash: In addition to standard observations, the Teachers tab will display self and peer observations.
- Network Frequency Dash: Only displays standard observations completed for teachers.
- Touchpoint Dash: In addition to standard observations, names will turn green and the Last Interaction will update to 0 days for both self and peer observations.
- Form Report: In addition to standard observations, the averages you see also pull from peer and self-observations (if on the same form).
