Grow Video App Troubleshooting Overview
You may encounter an issue when uploading a video recorded with the Grow Video App or uploaded from your mobile device. Most of the time, these issues are related to the internet connection on the mobile device. Check the following troubleshooting steps to solve common issues.
Most common issue: Long Upload Time
Issue: A video that was recorded with the Grow Video App is taking too long to upload and shows a loading screen like this:
Things to do and avoid while recording and uploading a video:
1. Avoid changing the device's internet connection while recording or uploading.
2. If you are using a Wi-Fi connection on the device, do not deactivate the Wi-Fi, change the network, or move too far from the source of the connection (router, repeater, etc.).
3. If you are using the phone's mobile data, do not disable it while recording or uploading, and make sure the connection is stable.
Troubleshooting Video Uploads
Upload time for a video will vary depending on the size and duration of the video or internet speed, but if it's taking more than the usual time, you can follow these steps:
1. Close the video app on your device.
| Important! Do not uninstall the app or remove the cache from the app or the video will be removed from the upload queue and will be lost. |
2. If you are using Wi-Fi, disable the Wi-Fi on your device settings. If you are using phone data, disable it as well.
3. Restart your mobile device.
4. Enable Wi-Fi and mobile data.
5. Open the Grow Video App again and log in as your district.
Notes
- If another video is uploaded in the queue, the videos will upload from the Grow database following the order and date in which each video is uploaded.
- Always try to remember the title, date, and time of the video so that our team may better assist you with additional troubleshooting
- Make sure you have the most updated version of the Grow Video App.
