Learn how to update your school/district Outlook settings so that staff members can utilize the 'Connect Outlook Calendar' button within the Grow Calendar feature.
Please note: this article is primarily for the Global Administrator of the school/district Azure Portal.
Context
Grow has a calendar feature that allows users to schedule observations, meetings, and other events directly on the platform. Users can integrate their Google or Outlook calendar in order to see all of their events show up in your Grow calendar, as well as see any events scheduled in Grow show up in Google/Outlook. Click here to review an article with more information about our calendar.
Step 1
Log in as a Global Administrator into the Azure Portal: https://portal.azure.com/
Step 2
Use the search bar at the top of the main landing page to search for and select enterprise applications.
Step 3
In the search bar on this new page, type in Grow Education. Click on the blue hyperlink once it appears in your directory.
Step 4
On the left sidebar navigation menu--click on Permissions. When the tab loads, click the large blue button that says, Grant admin consent for <YOUR DISTRICT NAME>
Only a Global Administrator can press this button, which will grant consent for all of the users in your active directory for the shown permissions. This consent allows us to authenticate your users and gain the ability to manage and create events in their Outlook calendars from within our application.
Note: Once this change is made, it can take up to an hour before Microsoft’s claims are reset on a user’s token and that user is able to log in to the Grow Calendar App.
